What makes the Carbon Spectra Laser "Hollywood Peel" so popular?
The Carbon Laser Peel otherwise known in the USA as the “Hollywood Peel” was made popular by celebrities such as Angelina Jolie, Kim Kardashian etc. due to its almost instantaneous results with minimal downtime or discomfort.
Perfect for giving them that extra boost before red-carpet events.
Encouraged by the glowing reviews, people have now made the "Hollywood Peel" their monthly maintenance / quick fix for skin that rivals those of celebrities.
Dr Edwin is a big fan of this laser and does it regularly to maintain his skin! Click here to see him in action.

How does it work?
Medical grade Carbon lotion is applied evenly over the entire face and left to be absorbed for 15 minutes. It penetrates the skin and is absorbed in the pores.
The Carbon lotion acts as a photo enhancer, allowing the laser to deliver energy deep into the pores, boosting results! The laser also acts to "peel off" the carbon, killing bacteria, unclogging pores and exfoliating skin in the process.
Next, Dr Edwin will switch to the Spectra Laser Toning mode to brighten skin, improve uneven skin tone and reduce pigmentation. The last step is the long pulse spectra mode which stimulates collagen production and tightens pores and skin.
The carbon removal process produces a ‘popping sound’ which may be unnerving for first time patients.
Rest assured, there is minimal pain and no downtime. Excluding the carbon lotion application time, the treatment duration is approximately 20 minutes. Dr Edwin recommends a treatment interval of once a month for optimal results.
How long does each treatment take?
A treatment typically lasts around 30mins.
Is it painful?
The treatment feels like tiny ant-bites on the skin. It is very tolerable.
How many treatments are required?
Is there any downtime?
Downtime is minimal or none at all. Some patients may experience slight redness which subsides after 1-3 hours.
