The Glow Bright (Skin Brightening) Laser program created by Dr Edwin Lim utilises the non-invasive and minimal downtime Pro-Yellow laser to restore skin radiance and promote healthy glowing skin.
This made in Germany Pro Yellow laser utilizes a special 577nm wavelength laser to effectively and safely treat both light and dark skin types by targeting pigment cells and the blood vessels that supply these pigment cells.
Using this 2 pronged approach, pigments are broken down and production of new pigments are reduced at the same time!
In addition, the Pro Yellow laser treats the aging support structure of the skin by stimulating the production of collagen and elastin leading to more luminous and youthful skin.

Patients can expect a very mild ant-bite like sensation during the laser. The cold air blower will be used concurrently to reduce discomfort and skin redness. Overall, the laser is comfortable and definitely not classified as painful!
The treatment duration is approximately 15 minutes and there is no downtime for the Spectra 1064nm laser. Some patients may experienced mild redness lasting 4 to 6 hours. We recommend applying the intensive recovery cream for optimal results.
Dr Edwin may recommend the stronger "burn off" spectra 660nm laser for stubborn pigmentation. However, there will be scabbing and hence downtime of between 3 to 7 days after the treatment.

A treatment typically last between 15-30mins, depending on the condition or treatment area.
The treatment feels like tiny ant-bites on the skin. It is very tolerable.
Brightening can be seen in as little as 2 to 3 treatments. Depending on severity of pigmentation and lifestyle factors, an improvement of 70-90% is expected after 10 sessions.
Downtime is minimal or none at all. Some patients may experience slight redness which subsides after 1-3 hours.
Every clinic offers different laser treatment options for pigmentation. No one clinic is the same as the other. If you want to make sure that pigment laser treatments are performed safely and effectively, make sure that the clinic is experienced in offering such lasers. The clinic should also offer information on the various types of pigmentation lasers before proceeding.
