Rejuran S is a more concentrated version of Rejuran Healer that was specially developed to treat acne scars.
It contains Polynucleotides (PN) which are DNA fragments that help repair damaged cells and stimulate collagen.
It's ability to boost skin healing and remodel collagen makes it ideal for treating acne scars.
Rejuran S and Rejuran Healer are both made of polynucleotides (PN), which promote skin cell growth through the stimulation of collagen.
The difference - Rejuran S is more concentrated and more viscous (thicker) in texture than Rejuran Healer, allowing Rejuran S be specially suited for acne scar treatments.
Being more viscous, Rejuran S "fills" up acne scars to give immediate improvement in appearance. However, this effect is temporary and is not the main purpose of Rejuran S.
Instead, by "filling" and "propping up" acne scars, it creates a scaffold that allows more fibroblasts to stimulate production of collagen for acne scar improvement.

Rejuran Healer
Rejuran S is able to effectively treat different types of acne scars such as
Prior to treatment, Dr Edwin will prescribe oral painkillers and apply a strong numbing cream for 30 minutes to reduce discomfort.
During the procedure, Dr Edwin will use a tiny needle to inject Rejuran S directly under the targeted acne scars. The injections may feel like tiny ant bites but it is very tolerable.
After the procedure, there will be small bumps over the treated areas containing the injected Rejuran S. We will apply an intensive recovery cream and assist in "massaging" the bumps into the skin.
Dr Edwin recommends that patients should continue to "massage" the bumps themselves over the next few days. There may be some needle marks and bruising after the procedure which will typically recover after 5 to 7 days.

For deep acne scars, Dr Edwin recommends Subcision to break apart fibrous bands and "release the scar" before directly injecting Rejuran S into the base of the acne scar. Combining these 2 treatments will deliver superior results when compared to Rejuran S alone.
More info about Subcision can be found here.
Depending on the number and severity of scars, Dr Edwin may use more than 1 syringe (1ml) of Rejuran S.
3 treatment sessions are recommended, 4 weeks between each treatment.
After, as maintenance, a single treatment can repeated once every 6 – 12 months to maintain collagen stimulation and skin improvement.
For those with numerous acne scars, Dr Edwin may offer Rejuran S on the deeper, larger scars followed by the CO2 Fractional Resurfacing Laser to treat the smaller acne scars.
