For many Asians, a common complaint is flat or low nose bridges.

Nose fillers are a gel-like substance injected beneath the skin. Majority of fillers contain hyaluronic acid (HA) which is a naturally occurring substance in the body.
Prior to treatment, Dr Edwin will discuss with you the type and volume of filler required to achieve your desired results. We only use FDA approved brands such as Restylane or Juvederm.
The choice of fillers are crucial! Choosing the wrong type of filler may result in "broadening" of the nose bridge a.k.a the "avatar" nose.
Prior to each injection, a cold icepack will be applied to the skin to reduce discomfort and bruising. Dr Edwin prefers ice over numbing cream as ice has the added benefit of anti-bruising.
The filler is injected using a small and thin needle. Results can be seen immediately after the fillers treatment. There may be slight bruising and swelling. We recommend using the intensive recovery cream to hasten recovery.
Treatment duration is between 15 to 30 minutes. Results typically last between 12 to 16 months.
Nose filler injections are a technically demanding procedure and should only be performed by an experienced doctor.
The safest approach is to inject deep, along the mid line of the nose, to avoid blood vessels. There have been reports of rare and severe complications such as skin necrosis and blindness when the filler is injected incorrectly into a blood vessel. Otherwise, side effects are mild and not serious.
Every clinic offers different face nose filler treatment options for nose enhancement. No one clinic is same as the other. If you want to make sure that nose filler treatments are performed safely and effectively, make sure that the clinic is experienced in offering such nose filler treatments. The clinic should also offer information on the various types of nose fillers before proceeding.
