Micrografts (containing healthy hair cells) are painlessly obtained from the back of the patient’s scalp. These micrografts contain a few hundred thousand healthy hair cells that are then injected into the areas with hair loss to reactivate the hair roots in these areas.
When injected, these micrografts start to repair and promote regeneration of healthy scalp tissue and hair follicles.
Hair growth is stimulated, leading to stronger, thicker hair follicles. Hair loss is also slowed down at the same time.
Since these micrografts are extracted from your own body, it is completely natural and safe.
Step 1
Graft sites along the back of the scalp are identified and injected with local anesthesia. Grafts measure around 2.5mm and are extracted painlessly. These grafts contain healthy hair cells and important growth factors.
Step 2
The Regenera Activa device processes these grafts into smaller fragments called Micrografts. These micrografts will be part of a suspension that is highly concentrated in healthy hair cells, stem cells and growth factors to stimulate hair growth.
Step 3
The Micrograft suspension is then injected into specific areas of the scalp that is experiencing hair loss. Dr Edwin will select the most ideal spots for injection to stimulate hair growth and regeneration.
The entire treatment takes between 30 to 45 minutes.
It is recommended to combine Regenera Activa with oral and topical medications such as Minoxidil and Finasteride and / or with hair growth supplements like Nourkrin to further improve results.
Results may be seen as early as 1 month after treatment. However, it is more common to see improvements after 3 to 6 months.
It is recommended to do Regenera Activa once every 12 months.
For best results, Dr Edwin recommends combining Regenera Activa with oral and topical hair loss medications such as Minoxidil and Finasteride to enhance stimulation of new hair growth.
