Silhouette Soft Face Threadlift treatment experience
Numbing cream is first applied over the treatment area for 30 minutes.
After which, Dr Edwin marks out the vectors for thread insertion to achieve optimal lifting and rejuvenation.
Local anesthesia (numbing injection) is given into the entry and exit points of the threads to further reduce discomfort.
Next, a small needle is inserted at the entry point to create the opening for insertion of the threads.
Each thread has 2 ends which is inserted and guided under the skin in 2 different directions to improve lifting of the skin and facial tissues.
After the ends of the thread exit the skin, the excess portion is removed. This process is repeated until all the threads are inserted. At the end of the treatment, Dr Edwin will "shape" the treatment areas to improve the lifting results.
On average, each person may require 3 to 5 pairs of threads per cheek, totalling 6 to 10 pairs of threads in total.

What are the risks of Face Threadlifts
The Silhouette Soft Face Threadlifting procedure is very safe.
After treatment, there may be mild bruising and swelling at the entry and exit points which may last between 3 to 7 days. Dr Edwin will prescribe a recovery cream to accelerate the healing process.
Infection is rare and Dr Edwin usually prescribes a short course of oral antibiotics after the threadlift procedure to minimise this risk.
Normal activities such as showering, skincare application can be resumed immediately. It is recommended to avoid facials or face massages for the first 2 weeks.
