The BOTOX brow lift treatment is a quick, safe and effective, non surgical, minimally invasive treatment in Singapore to elevate the outer portion of the eyebrows.
This treatment is ideal for those patients who find that the eyebrows are drooping or wish to enhance the shape of the eyebrows.
BOTOX is a very popular cosmetic injectable treatment used by millions worldwide to improve wrinkles and lines on areas such as the forehead, frown and eye area. It can also be used for jaw slimming, shoulder and calf contouring.
Specific to BOTOX brow lift, it works by relaxing the “depressors” of the forehead. These depressors “pull down the brows” and are the frown muscles (corrugators) and the outer muscle around the eye (orbicularis oculi).
When these 2 depressor muscles are relaxed with BOTOX, the forehead muscle (frontalis) exerts a lifting effect on the eyebrows, creating a subtle lift more noticeable in the outer corners of the eyebrows.
Dr Edwin will precisely plan out the areas of injection after examining your forehead and eyebrows in the clinic.
In total, there may be between 5 to 7 injection points for the BOTOX brow lift.
An icepack will be applied to the area before each injection to reduce discomfort, swelling and bruising.
Discomfort is minimal and feels like small antbites.
After BOTOX injections, small bumps that look like mosquito bites will be present at the injection site. Patients are reminded not to apply pressure over these bumps.
The bumps will typically disappear after 4 to 6 hours.
Should there be bruising, an Intensive Recovery Cream can be applied to expedite the healing process.
On average, around 10 to 18 units of BOTOX is required, depending on the strength of the depressor muscles.
Typically, BOTOX brow lift results last around 3 to 6 months, depending on dosage of BOTOX injected.
Every clinic offers different BOTOX treatment options. No one clinic is same as the other. If you want to make sure that BOTOX injections are performed safely and effectively, make sure that the clinic is experienced in offering BOTOX treatments. The clinic should also offer information on the various types of BOTOX treatments before proceeding.
