Laser Mole / Skin Bumps Removal
How does Laser Removal Work?
Dr Edwin prefers to use the eCO2 ablative laser for removal of Moles, skin-tags and other skin bumps. Its precise nature means that Laser removal is able to effectively remove Moles / Bumps with minimal collateral damage to surrounding skin tissue - shortening recovery time.
Depending on size, the procedure takes between 10 to 15 minutes per mole / bump. Results are immediate. Should the mole or skin tag be too deep or extensive, Dr Edwin may choose to complete the procedure over 2 to 3 sessions to minimise risk of complications such as scarring and infection.
In addition to mole and skin-tags, the eCO2 laser is able to effectively remove other common types of skin bumps such as warts, sebaceous hyperplasia and seborrheic keratosis.

Prior to starting, a strong numbing cream will be applied if there are multiple bumps to be removed.
Dr Edwin may elect to give an injection of local anesthesia for the removal of single, large moles / bumps as the procedure may be more invasive.
After numbing cream / local anesthesia, the procedure is nearly painless! During the procedure, the mole / bump is removed precisely in layers by the CO2 laser. Dr Edwin will strive to remove as much of the mole / bump during the procedure as possible whilst maintaining excellent cosmetic results. Should the procedure be too invasive, Dr Edwin prefers to perform the removal over several sessions to minimise the risk of scarring.
Post-procedure, we recommend that patients apply an antibiotic cream, recovery cream and scar-gel for best results.
The review will be conducted 1 month after where Dr Edwin will assess if a second session is required.
